Daniela Holban is a Romanian curator, cultural strategist, and nonprofit executive dedicated to public programming, artist development, site-specific projects, and building action-driven communities. Her curatorial practice explores themes of self-reflection, identity, immigration, and interconnectivity.

Her exhibition series REPOPULATIONS (2019 & 2022) received recognition and support through the Brooklyn Arts Council Community Arts Grant. Daniela also organizes and leads the WE ARE NATURE series at NOoSPHERE Arts—a summer interdisciplinary art program that promotes systems thinking and environmental awareness. She oversees the Kingsland Wildflowers Residency Award, curating and producing the annual site-specific art installation.

Named one of Brooklyn Magazine’s 50 Most Fascinating People of 2023, Daniela currently serves as Deputy Director at NOoSPHERE Arts. She has been a mentor with NEW INC (@ New Museum), the incubator for practitioners working at the intersection of art, design, science and technology, since 2022. In 2025, she was awarded the Charlene Victor & Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Grant.

Her past work includes roles at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MANA Contemporary, {CTS} Creative Thriftshop, William Bennett Gallery, The Ear Classical, and the Fashion and Textile Museum in London. Daniela's expansive network includes collaborations with The High Line, NADA, NARS, Residency Unlimited, CalArts, BRIC, The Brooklyn Rail, ILAP, CreateART, gener8tor Art, Brooklyn Arts Council, Paradice Palase, Open House New York, The Romanian Cultural Institute, Broadway Stages, Newtown Creek Alliance, Kingsland Wildflowers, Showfields, and Moleskine.

Daniela was the co-founder and Senior Curator of ARTFARE INC. (2019–2023). She is the founder of Plia Projects, a cultural agency bridging the world to contemporary artists. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
